Can I record in HD and then make a copy of the recorded video to regular dvd. This is important because courts and attorneys will not have blue rays to play the HD material back. From what I have heard the Standard Def on this camera is not that great and the image quality is important.I will be sending the files as attachments. Also the code of the video showing it is the original unedited copy is required to prove that the video has not been altered.

I'm thinking about getting this camera, it seems amazing. One thing i dont get though, i'm pretty new to the whole HD cameras world, and from what i understand, the video format is .m2t ? So if i want to edit my clips, i have to convert ? (Because my program doesnt support .m2t)

I just uploaded a low-light quality test video from mine. I use Sony Vegas Pro 9 and convert the M2ts files to WMV 1920x1080 8MBps. I used the Sony wirless mic, the one that plugs into the hot shoe. There was lots of background noise in the room (a fan and an air conditioner). The built in mic isn't as sensitive as the one on my old Sony HDR-SR7 but it does have a mic zoom feature. Sony Vegas 8 Pro wouldn't recognize the M2ts files. This camera rocks for the money.

Hi,
Congratulations!! Your video is awesome!!
I would like to know what u did to keep the quality of it when u put on youtube. Most of the videos i see never come with the real quality of the camera.

Thanks.
Joel.

1. when I edited the video, I used Pinnacle studios, which is a very good video editing program. It allows me to complete my video in 1920x1080 60i mpeg2 format. I then have the completed video sent to my documents. I then go on youtube, and upload the video from there. That is how I keep the true quality of the camera, with effects. :)
