I found this song on a CD called Hard to Find 45s on CD. I don't recall ever hearing it before. I sure enjoy it.

I wished I could have seen him perform in person. He had such a powerful voice.

I told him once, "Nate, you made the perfect record there" (referring to "Village Of Love"). He seemed pleased at that.

I knew Nathaniel and worked with him. A crazy funny guy... and what a huge talent! He was a natural, dynamic entertainer.

Terrific Detroit label.Great song.I've got the original 45.Also home to Nolan Strong and the Diabolos falsetto inspiration to Smokey.

Great song. Glad to find it here. I had lots of 45s once but my sister talked me into giving most of them to her sons, who probably used them as Frisbies. This 45 was one of them that was given away, regretfully. I never forgot the song, and just googled it and found it, after a good 35 years. Thank you for posting it here. Means a lot.

Ridin' down the Garden State Parkway headin' to Sea Side, NJ in a black and white'57 Ford; that's what this song reminds me of. Captures the era in a musical sense to me.
