if you dont have compressor lying around then just put some drain cleaner (lye based) and aluminium foil strips inside bottle and close the cap

It makes a good tyre pump and a good vacuum pump but it will NOT pump water / liquid, the gas vapour is compressed by piston in to a liquid (a tiny amount per cycle) if it were to take water in the pistin would simple stop dead as you can't compress a liquid, this is why in the Air Conditioning trade we always charge the system with the gas vapour (and let compressor suck it in and discharge it as a liquid) as just liquid in suction side will damage compressor.

@mrcrtking Derp. You can charge with liquid directly into a high-side receiver. You can also charge liquid into suction cooled compressors suction side, as the heat of compression will flash off the refrigerant. Also, SOME refrigerants MUST be charged as a liquid, as they are mixes. Daltons Law explains why this happens.

@timtanguay HI I am aware you can charge system with liquid on high pressure / discharge side into the receiver, I also know that some refrigerant is charged as liquid such as R407C as it is a blend and to maintain the correct % of each individual ingrediant, BUT the blend liquid before it gets to compressor has vaporised, when its at ur guage set its liquid but you control the flow of the liquid into the air con unit so that NO liquid or very very little actually hits the compressor

Compressor discharge pressure around 400 PSI and will suck close to 500 micron. used to use it to vacuum out air con systems untill I bought a proper Robinair 4 CFM vac pump.
