During our first trip to London, we became fascinated with The Tube in London. Subways had always been much of a mystery to Cheryle and I due to the regions of the country we have lived in. I took this video on our third visit to London to remind us of one journey through The London Underground.

  • Who knew that public transportation could be a tourist attraction. Only London knows.....

I hope to visit London one day.

  • @NeoFalcon69 - I remember my first full day in London on my very first visit and how my wife and I found it amazing that we could just go down in a hole and then 20 minutes later you come up another hole and find yourself in an area that looks totally different. It felt more like teleporting ... but slower. I just got back from Amsterdam and while I was there I used the trams and trains as means of joyriding all over the city and the country.

  • @TravelingManEuro only replying on here so i can get a reply from you. your ticket was green right? how and what on earth is a green ticket. in all my life here (17 years) i've never seen one. (not that i'll use it anyways as i've got an oyster)

  • @SLwootwootUK - The ticket was issued at a booth for short stays. I may have gotten mine from a machine designed for tourists. When I was in Amsterdam recently, I stayed there for three weeks and got myself a OV Chipkaart. This works similar to the oyster card, but this one is anonymous and can be reloaded with credit as needed.

I envy European and alot of Asian cities and their excellent public transportation systems - if I COME ACROSS another childish remark on how "crap" they are - I will slap them on the head and tell them to endure a day with me with our inefficient, outdated and insufficient public transport system here outside Euroland.

  • @madmouse71 I'm just saying this as an obseveration, not being critical. But whenever there's a video of something good in a city outside of the USA, you'll always find an American trying to discredit it by saying "it's not as good as the American one", no matter what it is.

It's like the USA has this incredible inferiority complex and somehow has to make up for it.

I promise I'm not meaning that critically but it is ALWAYS an American doing it.

  • @Frickis nobody gives a shit if you've huge ass backpacks. My friend's one got kicked out of the tube intentionally once though and he never got it back. Just be careful is all..

  • Thanks, great video!

  • @SneerfulWizard The New York subways are dirty and boring compared to the London Underground. I bet that you have never been on the Tube before.

  • Thes thing fucking crawl along compared to the NYC subways

  • PLEASE MIND THE GAP BETWEEN THE TRAIN AND THE PLATFORM ...( Ealing Broadway-Holborn) 18 July 2010 - 1st August holiday...

  • @BruhTV The victoria line is all underground except for the rolling stock depot.

  • @NeoFalcon69 you should its a blast!!!!

  • Thanks for uploading. I lived in London in 2000, and since we don't have subways in South Africa, my fondest memories are of the tube.
