The video I'm responding to is listed here, but I warn you that it is very troubling:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wl9y3SIPt7o

I am not trying to argue that Christians are bad people, I am saying that Christianity is bad and needs to be done away with. I'm attacking the beliefs, not the believers. For the most part, I think that Christians are good people, but I wouldn't give any of that credit to their religion.

  • What does this have to do with Christianity dumb shit? He beat her for downloading a song off the internet, not for anything to do with Christianity. Eat a dick sandwich.

  • @MiloBoz

By your language, I'm guessing you aren't a Christian, so I'm puzzled why you are so upset.

I'm guessing you haven't watched the video. If you were Christian, you'd have to sit back and approve of what he's doing. If you aren't Christian, like me, then you don't have a stone age legislature that allows this kind of thing to happen.

  • nonsense- not condoned at all... only in the most warped, uneducated, senseless interpretation.

  • @shieldsff

Like the interpretation where you read the Bible and understand exactly what it says?

  • so you think the pope would approve this? WRONG

  • @TheNoCoincidence

I'm as sure as I can be that if a catholic priest/father beat a teenager like this, he'd do his best to cover it up, just like he (and I'm talking about the actual current pope) covered up the sexual abuse and rape of children.

The pope is a vile and despicable man, someone who put the churches reputation in front of the safety and well being of children. He'd be on the perpetrator's side, not the victim's. That's approval in my book.

I am indeed talking about Christianity, the Old and New testaments are inseparable for that religion. Without the old Testament there is no reason to assume that Jesus is fulfilling a foretold Messiah role, there is no reason for a lot of the random actions Jesus does in order to fulfill Old Testament prophecy, there is no law to break, there is no requirement of sacrifice, and ultimately there is no Sin that ever entered the world. Without the Old Testament, Jesus is worth nothing

I'm not sure how atheists are being hypocritical when they talk poorly about religion, but i can address why this is such a big deal.

5 years ago, 223,000 students in the United States were paddled in their school to be disciplined. The overwhelming majority of these took place in the bible belt in Christian schools. They used the exact same verses mentioned in the video to justify beating children, despite the fact that it an ineffective means of discipline. That's one example.

  • @TheNoCoincidence The pope seems to approve the systematic rape of children. Terrible example to use in your defense of Christianity.

  • @AtheistExplains I even got atheist intellectual Noam Chomsky in it talking about how true christianity was about liberation, and got surpressed by the money-driven Church. This film will do a lot to disprove many misconceptions about religion, and to air out the ZIonist Imperialist agenda of the United states.. coming soon.. Anonymous Presents: Protocols of Zion.. The MOVEI!!

  • @AtheistExplains I'm a making a documentary now about zionism/imperialism vs religion.. I was hoping this would be a video clip I could use for it. Ie. the judge admitting he's a christian after beat her ass or something, to show the hypocricy of fake christians.. But the beating itself doesn't indicate anything about Christianity. Sorry about swearing, I just got upset cuz i was hoping i could use it when i saw title.

  • @AtheistExplains I'm a monotheist.. But please show me the passage in the Christian Bible that says it's OK to beat your child for downloading a song off the internet. I'm puzzled as i've read the Bible and have yet to see such a passage. The funny thing about the argument most people make towards Christians is, the verses they quote actually come from the Jewish bible lol But i doubt even the jews have a verse like that in the old testament. Impossible to follow Jesus teachings and do this.
