@joshsh100 done alone. And not that we can possibly pray for what we want. Jesus did not attach strings when he said to believe and receive.

@joshsh100 But the truth is that the Bible did not deliver on its promise. I am sorry that I have to say this. This man was given a beautiful family only to be ripped away. I have 3 daughters myself and I can say with all my heart that this man would have traded anything to see them grow. I am not doubting God's existence, but i am doubting the way we have come to understand him in the West. And according to the bible I am questioning God's fairness. The Bible should just say that Gods will be

@joshsh100 I was a born again christian for 9 years. When I got saved, it was from reading the bible alone. I was always looking for ways to sacrifice the things that I felt were important and replace them with what God thought to be important. Many things I prayed for, like close family members being saved, never came to pass. If that is not God's will than what is? In Zac's story it is easy to stand at a distance and say "boy he had great faith, he trusted God no matter what".

@DeDona1 It's easy to say that what the bible says is 'disillusioned' when carried out in full. The truth is God can heal, but how can you say that His plan is less important than yours or Zac's?
Many people see troubles and blame God, though you can see through Genesis whose fault it really is.
Have you thought that maybe if we truly believe in Him we might want what He does -- others to come to Him. When our goals align I believe He will answer our prayers, unless He has other plans.

@joshsh100 I have read the book of Job; many times! I am not mad at God, but am certainly disillusioned with the god that fundamentalist christianity creates. I can no longer take every word of the Bible literally because life has told me something different. You cannot have whatever you pray, you cannot receive by believing, you cannot drink poison and not be harmed(chemotherapy), Jesus can and does lose some of the ones the father gives Him. Zac clearly says he wanted to see his children grow.

@DeDona1 Have you read the book of Job? Testing and trying times happen, but God is the strength you can hold onto. Death isn't the end, and Zac knew that. His children will grow up knowing that their father died being the best dad he could, most people don't get that. It's a reminder that life is short, and you can get mad at God for that, or you can spend your life doing what is worth doing!!

we saw this video at church on Sunday and it touched so many lifes. Thank you God for this testimony it touched and brought a lot of emotion and tears to our congregation. The last three sentences of this video are so powerful. True testimony of a man of God.
