This is not the 'raw' tape, it has been edited.

This excerpted section is exactly as it's released by the nixon library at nixon.archives.gov. It's raw in the sense that it's authentically Nixon and that there are no modifications from how the nixon archives released this segment.

I read somewhere he recorded everything for his memoirs. He must have just forgot it was running, or he was too involved in worrying about the mess.

Ford is equally douchey for pardoning that fuckhead Nixon, especially considering Press Secretary Jerald TerHorsts resignation citing exactly that: "Try as I can, it is impossible to conclude that the former President is more deserving of mercy than persons of lesser station in life, whose offenses have had far less effect on our national well-being" Sept 8 1974
