In this video Pastor Ken and Kyle discuss the paradox of how congregation members often times do not do what they know or what they have learned through the preaching of the Word. InVision is about closing the gap between what people know and what results people actually produce with what they know.

  • The word Pastor is only found once in the New Testament. (Eph. 4.11). The work of pastoring or shepherding was given to the elders, plural in each city. (Acts 20.28) Paul was talking to the elders. (Acts 20.17). Titus 1.5-7 clearly shows the elders are the bishops(overseers) and there function is to shepherd. This eldership was to exist in each city, a city is the only scriptural grounds given to divide the Church or Body of Christ.

  • You both seem very sincere. Noticing the problem with this topic caused me to research the Church from the Word. To my dismay at the time I came face to face with the realization that the pastoral system was not the God-Ordained way to either govern, build or edify His Body. Even the principles used to meet together under the pastoral system are not in the Bible. The reason the Body is not coordinated in each city, the reason the Body is not one, is the leadership structure won't allow it.
