Prince Charles and Camilla stayed in St Mawes and next morning met villagers and holiday makers before naming the new St Mawes Ferry "The Duchess of Cornwall".
This is a "Very Wobbly Videos" production supplemented with stills and a clip from ITV Westcountry's regional news for which many thanks.
Poem for The Royal Wedding
Now Charles and Camilla weren't like you and me
When they carved their love heart on the trunk of a tree.
They'd like to have married and share the same life,
But custom denied her becoming his wife.
Their love was dismissed, as the people and press
Sought a titled young virgin for Charles's princess.
These outrageous demands caused disaster and pain.
Yet, thirty years on, they're together again.
As they plan to get married, in full public sight,
Who are we to deny them this long denied rite?
Let them wed, and be glad for the love they have shown,
This inseparable pair, the royal Darby and Joan.
