1986 NBA "FANtastic" Commercial

This commercial aired on 4-20-1986 during the infamous Chicago Bulls Boston Celtics game when Michael Jordan poured in 63 points in a 2OT losing effort at Boston Gardens.

The Celtics set an all time NBA record at 40-1 (32 straight home wins to close out the season) during their home games of the 85/86 regular season only losing the one game to the Portland Trailblazers. Boston went on to eventually beat the Houston Rockets 4 games to 2. I did not alter this commercial in any way, if the timing happens to be off it is because of youtubes upload quality, not the original quality of the video.

Me too, the commercials like this Ive always liked because of the limited technology available at the time. They use footage and music thats basically it. Its almost like watching an old horror classic where the digital effects werent available so everything has to be perfect to capture the audience.

I remember seeing that ad campaign when I was a kid. Thanks for adding the NBA on CBS sponsor sequence at the end. It reminds me of why the NBA's time with CBS was so great as time went on.
