Firesteel comparisons.

Out hunting today and shot a quick video of a Chinese firesteel compared to some others. To post to BCUSA forum. The last one pictured was obtained on Ebay for $2.99 inc shipping. They work excellent!! As you can see in the vid, even with no tinder it actually starts to flame up wet leaves. I've since gotten a bunch more and keep one in pretty much every bag I own.

@evanpat97 it is a Mora. I believe the model is called the Swiss military survival model.

@prettyyboyy25 they are some flints better then the bear grylls fire starter but better flints have better sparks and bigger sparks but bear grylls fire starter you haave do it like a million times.

@jimmlunn these did not have magnesium rods attached. I do have some that do though. Also handy to have.

I was just wondering...if you look at the top end of that cheap firesteel can you see if there is a small striker rod drilled into it? I´ve come across that on some steels looking exacly like the one you´re using and they just make shavings on one side that doesn´t want to ignite,whereas on the oppsite side(where the striker sticks out) they will spark like crazy
