  • He did really well with other people's songs! I could totally hear him on the radio singing this song.. although I love Foreigner's version too.

Sometimes I wish I'd been 10 or 11 in 1977 or 1978, so I could've swooned over Andy and the Bee Gees, and yet have still been young enough in the early and mid '80s to be a Duran Duran/Spandau Ballet/Culture Club groupie too.

    XD

  • I feel sorry you are so young. I was actually around the Duran Duran/culture club/spandau ballett period and I can tell you they have nothing on the Gibbs. They are amateurs. U werent missing out.

  • Ok I am sorry. You see I grew up at a time they were really so overrated. Then when I got in to the Bee Gees in 87 I never took Spandau seriously. Duran Duran on the other hand, yes quite original. But their music does not have the depth of emotion the Bee Gees has. U have good taste anyway:)

  • No need for sorries. I think everyone underestimates the time period they actually live in. I tend to talk down about today's music. It's hard to cut through the crap and find the gems.

MTV really made these bands blow up though, to be larger than life. Which is why it seemed like they were in your face constantly. lol

People only ever saw Bee Gees/Andy on posters. And on TV occasionally.

  • Yeah! And that is part of the mystique that surrounds the Bee Gees.

  • Andy knew how to make any song his own. That is because he was THAT talented. Not takeing away from the originals because they were great also. Just saying Andy could sing anything and melt you too your toes. In that way he was like his brothers, a complament to all four gifted brothers Gibb. . RIP Sweet angel Forever Love, MS ROBIN

  • I was born in 59 and grew up with all that music. Andy Gibb was awsome. He left us was too soon. The Bee Gees were something else. I saw them in concert and there was not one girl not screaming. The music of America, Journey, Foreigner (with and without Lou Gramm who by the way still tours) and the famous Freddy Mercury of Queen, now that was music.

  • Andy was amazing! He should still be here now!!!! The is no song he can't do! His musci will last past time and space!!
