Rather insensitive of the top British diplomat to pose by a hated relic of colonialism and imperialism which mowed thousands of Sudanese peasants in a single day at Kerrari. The force then shelled AlMahdis tomb, desecrated his grave, exhumed his remains, beheaded his corpse, threw the bones in the river, and kept the skull as a personal trophy of Lord Kitchener in an act of unprecedented savagery and ghoulish barbarism.
Very nice words about the "affection" and "extremely close historical links" between the two people. but why are you making it so hellish for sudanese visitors to get visas for such innocuous purposes as study, tourism, or medical treatmet?
