"The people who took part in the Poll Tax rebellion are Working Class heroes"
Andy Murphy - Class War

The UK Poll Tax Riots were a series of mass disturbances, or riots, in British cities during protests against the Community Charge (commonly known as the poll tax), introduced by the Conservative government led by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. By far the largest occurred in central London on Saturday March 31, 1990, shortly before the poll tax was due to come into force in England and Wales.

The disorder in London arose from a demonstration which began at 11am. The rioting and looting ended at 3am the next morning. This protest is called the Battle of Trafalgar because much of the rioting took place in Trafalgar Square.

  • @chelloandra looting was going during the poll tax riots research it if you like.

  • Now their children have to fight the for their future against the banksters.

  • Organisers of Poll tax revolt=Militant tendancy=Socialist Party= True working class fighters

  • This country is great y'know, im so glad to see that these people think about what theyre doing, before they do it. See, if the uk didnt pay any tax, the mess them streets were left in, wouldn't get cleaned up. So by trashing them, and injuring the police, youre giving the government more justice in charging more tax.

  • @spackhollogay nah, election meltdown was a protest thing in the centre of london thats all. wasn't very good though.
