Wolf Creek wins Golf Digest Fans' Choice Award

Golf Digest Senior Travel Editor Matt Ginella visited Wolf Creek Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 18, to present course owner Cory Clemetson and general manager Joel Villanos the magazine's highly coveted "Fans' Choice" award.

Wolf Creek faced off with the top public golf courses in the United States through a Golf Digest Facebook contest, pitting 64 of the top 100 US public courses against each other in a March Madness style tournament. Golf Digest's Facebook fans then voted weekly on each head to head match up until the ultimate victor was decided. Of the 711,697 total votes cast during the tournament, Wolf Creek garnered an astounding 342,272 or 48% of all votes. In their final matchup, Wolf Creek defeated Bulle Rock 169,660 to 130,265 to claim the title of the "Fans' Choice" top US public course in what Mr. Ginella called, "...Golf Digest's most successful socially-charged initiative since the launch of our Facebook page."
