Shooting Aftermath in Houston, TX HD

I took this footage right after the shooting. This guys hubcap was in my driveway from the chase.

A 16-year-old boy who awakened residents of a northwest Harris County neighborhood before dawn today by firing at a house with a shotgun was arrested after injuring a sheriff's deputy in a shootout, authorities said.

The deputy was grazed near an eye by a shotgun pellet and was hospitalized for treatment of a minor injury, Capt. Lanny Hitchcock of the Harris County sheriff's office said.

Before 5 a.m. this morning, authorities got a call that someone was firing shots in the 17300 block of Lobo Trail. Deputies went to the area to interview shaken residents when one of them pointed to a passing car and identified the driver as the shooter.

The driver crashed into a curb near the intersection of Wild Willow and Loch Bruceray after a short pursuit in the Northglen subdivision, got out of this car and fired four times at the front of a deputy's cruiser, causing the injury and damaging the car's hood, Hitchcock said.

After deputies returned fire and missed, the boy ran off, only to be caught a short time later sitting on the track at nearby Langham Creek High School after another resident reported seeing a suspicious male scaling the fence, Hitchcock said.

The suspect, who Hitchcock said lives in the neighborhood, was arrested without incident.

"I'm scared," said Carlos Miranda, who said he's lived in the subdivision for 16 years. "I've never been like that."

The names of those involved were not released by the sheriff's department.

@grbroussard Yes. He is my brother. He is in jail, has been for the past yr. So you ain't gotta worry about it! but with all respect, but yourself in his mind. Our house(his house) had been shot at more than once and our car was set on fire by the nieghboorhood gang. He was drinking that night so all the anger came out, and he wasn't thinking. But i understand you well, hurting that cop was not right and he knows he did wrong and hes paying for it.
