How do you dislike Haydn? Come on people...
-
thank you

In comparison to Mozart, what Haydn loses in emotion (but what the hell is emotion???), he gains in intelligence and mastery.
-
Hm, I would say he sounds wiser than Mozart, although I love Mozart, but he sometimes comes across as too playful, whereas Haydn maintains a great balance in my opinion.

Listening to a Haydn symphony always imparts to me a pleasant sense of well-being.

I thought that this piece was particularly nice and also, that TheVanya1900 can just go and hang himself or their 1900 selves!!! @TheMadStrangler. GO AWAY, RIFFRAFF!!!

Listening to this interpretation, I can understand your thinking, but there's nothing flat or emotionless about Adam Fischer, Nikolaus Harnoncourt or Leonard Bernstein conduct Haydn.
-
Haydn is like a flatter less emotional and intense version of Mozart.
The constant lack of appreciation for Haydn's work (particularly in comparison to Mozart) is amazing.

Wooooo thanks for uploading this charming and utterly delightful symphony! One of my favourite works by the wonderful, wonderful Haydn.
