Hi i just ordered a ps3 and i would like to able to use it in my room. I have a samsung synchmaster 206BW and i will be connecting the ps3 to it using a dvi to hdmi cable. How do i get sound? As you all know the monitor i have does not have embedded sound. Please help.

If you look at close range and games in 720p or less Yes.

In 1080i and 1080p can be seen clearly

@OzY360 I've got the same Monitor and I used the other cable (the component cable) to get the sound, you may get a RCA to 3.5mm cable or converter and plug it to your pc speakers

Should ı buy ınca 23" dvı or Dell st2210 . 1st one has 300 cd brightness but the other one has 250 brightness which is better ? btw 1st one is 23" ? ı wnna buy one of em today so please answer quick :D

dont worry guys i figured it out. i just purchased a logitech z-5500 and il be able to plug that into the optical port at the back of the ps3 for digital lossless sound ;)

so it really depends on what you want. dvi is only the video part of hdmi, with the same quality (hdmi = video plus sound). if u play that way, you can still use the standard ps3 connector to output audio through rca.

depending on your budget, a 20 inches or more lcd will do the trick just fine. i also recommend you getting one that has more than 1 connections (ie: dvi + analog) so u don't have to unplug something to connect the pc or another device. the dell 24 ultrasharp has LOTS of inputs
