The director of Drummers for Jesus Int'l reflects about the impact Danny Seraphine has had on him. Danny Seraphine has influenced more drummers like Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gregg Bissonette and many millions more... watch the footage of Danny at the 2007 Drummers for Jesus Celebration. Danny's the man!
I grew up listening to Seraphine and Bobby Colomby (BS&T). My father was a great drummer and a big fan of them. Every time I listen to them I think about him... And I'm sure he's smiling and enjoying from Above. Thank you Dad for giving me all this! I love you.

@grayfoxx3 Dany WAS NOT CHICAGO! Chicago was a combination of several good musicians and without any one of them individually, would not be. Danny Seraphine was the drummer of Chicago........ nothing more, nothing less!

DS will ALWAYS have his place next to the greats; Krupa, Rich and many more of the jazz greats.
Wasn't it Buddy Rich on the Johnny Carson show who said back in the '70's, refering to Danny that "this kid is better than me"..the ultimate compliment.

Very "Chicago" in the writing. Quite "à la" Pankow in brass arrangements. But a good and strong song anyway.
Seraphine is still a hell of a drummer. I always liked him.
The best one is Keltner, but many come very close to him. :O))
