  • The reason the quebecois don't like your analysis is because you're wrong about the use of provocateurs. Has it ever occurred to you that your views on violence might be misguided or at the very least, doctrinaire?

  • @TyrannisSicSemper quebecois like my video for sure. the french version has almost 20k views so I'm not sure where you are getting your info... As for being wrong, no i don't think so.

I also recognize there are many different ways to resist, I'm not advocating any one tactic over another.

I've done plenty of peaceful protest over the years and some (ultimately harmless) direct action too.

As for photo-ops, the images of property destruction and street battles with the cops can be very divisive but I know for a fact that they inspire some people as much as they alienate others.

It's a matter of who you're trying to appeal to with your message.

  • @manuleninja

Lots of people have their reasons for property destruction, I'm in solidarity with the black bloc, which means I acknowledge everyone's ways of showing their opposition. I personally don't break stuff.

You're confusing agent provocateurs with surveillance infiltrators. EVERY march in TO, including the black bloc, had undercover officers that dressed to blend in to their respective crowds for up-close surveillance.

Surveillance is pretty different from provocation, right?

  • @TyrannisSicSemper so you are saying that because you do not agree on how the tax dollars is spent, you go break stuff during some protests and create more tax dollar spending, very logical...

How do you explain all the cases where the black blok is being "protected" by the police? such as in the g20 in TO where you could clearly see the BB running behind the police line once protesters started to stop them...And the perfect photo ops they ALWAYS create? There are other ways to fight back...

  • @manuleninja

You DO realize that black bloc folks attend many peaceful protests in solidarity, NOT wearing masks, right?

As in, we're the same as you except that we've watched our friends and allies get beat by the pigs for no reason one too many times and decided we're not going to just take the abuse anymore.

It's a natural progression/reaction to the violence of the state, learning how to resist and fight back.

Brutality itself isn't the issue, it's when tax dollars are spent on it ...

  • @TyrannisSicSemper i dont recall saying they are all agents but i do think that the black block is a front and is being used in the same way as the agents provocateurs. there is a time and a place for everything, a protest AGAINST brutality has no credibility to ANYONE when brutality is used, period. As for the heat with the french version, the comments came from ppl from France, not quebecois. I hope you feel insulted as a black block solidar since you make most of us ashame when you show up.

  • @manuleninja

You said yourself that the french version gets a lot of angry reactions, thats because they dont like your analysis, because it's insulting AS WELL AS wrong.

I'm in solidarity with the black bloc, I've marched with them, got attacked by the cops with them and it's insulting and stupid to say they're all cops or paid agents. Period.

  • @TyrannisSicSemper quebecois like my video for sure. the french version has almost 20k views so I'm not sre where you are getting your info... As for being wrong, no i don't think so.
