@thejohn95 Very much true here also.Gaius Julius Caesar became Caesar by declaring himself Emereror(Caesar)or"dictator for life".
Hitler did the same thing,he was chancellor but declared himself Leader(Fuehrer),&should he hav lived&Germany survived WW2,he no doubt would hav called himselfEmperor(Kaiser)of his new rule(reich),reestablishin an empire.
Both Napoleon & Hitler drew fromRome(Eagles, unit organization,etc).

One historian in a documentary I saw in 2004 said that Napoleon was a humane man but that "he had a definite streak of Darth Vader running through him".
As regards the allusion to the Republic being "reorganised into the First (Galactic) Empire to ensure safe and secure society", I suspect Lucas read the vote of the Senate that made Napoleon Emperor of the French. The release date for Revenge of the Sith here in France fell on 18th May 2005... the 201st anniversary of the Empire !

I dont know if you guys can read Anglais, but the reason why the Star Wars Imperial March song was chosen was because George Lucas used a lot of allusion of the Emperor in Star Wars to also represent how Napoleon Bonaparte rose to become the 1st Emperor. From 1st Consul to declaring himself Emperor.
I guess the very same could allude to Gaius Julius Ceasar of of Rome.

Thank you for answering SavageJim01. It's just a video for a php game on the Russian Campaign (Napoleon). This is just for fun, but I guess you can also enjoy the music at the same time :)
Merci pour ta réponse. C'est juste une video pour un jeu php sur la campagne de Russie de Napoléon. Ce n'est vraiment que pour le fun, mais je suppose que vous pouvez écouter la musique sans regarder les images :)
