Lisa Starry's 'A Vampire Tale' is tersely touted as as the Nutcracker of Halloween and is the requisite haunt of the fall season, 6 years running. Scorpius Dance Theatre will reprise this signature cult production, October 21 through November 7, 2009, at Phoenix Theatre's Little Theatre.

Vampire Tale is presented each October at Phoenix Theatres Little Theatre (2003 through 2008) and is now received by SOLD OUT audiences. This ever-evolving, original dance production, which audiences make a ritual to revisit each year to observe its juicy developments (A.K.A. the fresh meat), comprises a cast of 15 company dancers, several surprise guest artists, and features the choreography of Scorpius Dance Theatres Artistic Director, Lisa Starry.
The story tracks a susceptible, young woman, who emerges, lost and depressed, and is lured into the assorted band of bloodsuckers by their shadowy showmanship and seductive transactions. The characters structure an intense spectacle of dark debauchery while the innocent is both fascinated and frightened by their underworld. Audiences get all the trimmingsdark and sexy drama, quirky and comedic episodes, as well as, visually stunning aerial feats.
