My friend's pointe solo

She is supposed to be "tinker bell" for the mini ballet. She choreograhped the piece herself. She has been on pointe for one year.

She isn't fully over her box! You can tell she's new at pointe. But I don't think I've seen such a genuine dancer in a long while. She is radiant when she dances! You can tell she is an amazing ballerina, and just needs more time for her arches and pointe work to catch up with her skill. I dream of a day where all dancing is as genuine as this, and not only about technique.

this is beautiful! your friend is very delicate, but i think she would be even better if she were a little more aggressive, like in her turns from fourth and if she travels more in the the chasse pas de bourree combination, you'd be surprised how much of a difference it would make.

pointes were originally deigned to depict fairies, and I believe that this young lady has immortalized that feeling of ballet. Awesome!
