I'm not a frequent veiwer, but I really like number six. Your idea for using greyscale in the sad bits sounds like a good one, but it already looks good the way it is, even if movie maker messed up the timing.
Number two was rather amusing, but I don't really see how you could expand on it. I don't know much about effects, but maybe you could try using the one that makes the clip slide back and forth to match the beat a little bit?
I really liked number one as well, but six is my favorite.
