Great! Fantastic! Nice to see him have a revival of interest at the end of his life.

What a master of the four-mallet vibraphone style. The sound of the instrument itself is magnificent. But in the hands of Mr. Lyman, one feels seemingly transferred to another dimension. I recall first hearing this piece, "Quiet Village", back in '59 when Martin Denny had a hit with it. Arthur Lyman does a wonderful job with this and it's only HIM! I first heard of him when "Yellow Bird" was released not too long after "Quiet Village". What a beautiful sound! RIP, Arthur.

Such peaceful and melodic music. I lived in Hawaii for 8 years, and I loved it there. Wish I could've seen Martin Denny live.

I missed seeing Arthur play in Waikiki by one week in 2000. This helps make up for that. Absolutely sublime. Mahalonui!!

I was listening to one of the present day Exotica groups and was thinking, "Gee that sounds like Arthur Lyman." The real thing is SO much better! He was the best. Thanks for this posting.

I could loop this and enjoy it over and over. In fact, I think I will! THANK YOU to whomever posted this!
