In response to "The Cove" PSA...This is a plea to those celebs that
called for everyone to help the dolphins of Taiji.

To my earlier point, see SJD's blog entry re "Misty" posted earlier today.

No mention of SSCS or use of the term "Cove Guardians" by SJD.

To ednakano1, seems a lot of activists are into self-advertisement too. Beware those who promote themselves in the name of doing good. That's about as low as you can get. Do the work. Don't whine about sacrifice. Don't look for credit for doing it. Don't whine about how hard it is.

@kellysmarine Really, you just can't let this go? If you disagree with the video, its your right. Stop wasting your time worring about what others are doing. I told you that if Ric had an issue with it, he can ask me to remove it and I will. I stand behind what the video says, and I see nothing wrong with it. I did not insult or harm anyone. Im simply encoraging these celebirties to go to Taiji. The SJD team are pictured with the SSCS team on the Cove Guardians page, they work together. :)

@ericnchasity it wasn't directed at you or your video. Where do you get that? And you may want to tell your leader to stop worrying about what others are doing. Did you see the post on Elora's facebook page wondering why other groups are claiming to be there but aren't and that it is about taking credit? Did you say something to her mom for posting that?Anyway, my point was so your followers will understand that other organizations are involved and that Cove Guardians is a term used by SSCS.

@kellysmarine There are many groups in Taiji, you are right. SJD, SSCS, Taiji Action Group, Eyes on Taiji, Blackfish was there...am I leaving a group out? I guess in my eyes, everyone there is "guarding the cove", That is my bad. Im sorry if it offends anyone. ALSO, whatever others do, as far as drama goes, is NONE of my concern! I don't care about drama, I care about the dolphins. My goal is to save the dolphins, thats it. Do I support SSCS, yes! But I also support other groups. Good Luck To U!

@ericnchasity I see you did comment. What happened is that SSCS put something on their site essentially criticizing other groups except SJD. Perhaps in response to that, as it p*ssed off many people and does not seem to be in line with the way SJD operates, Ric then posted on his blog and his FB page that all groups were welcome. It could have been a coincidence but I very much doubt that. You think this is a criticism but if you weren't so defensive, you'd get that it's not.

@kellysmarine Again...I am very much aware what happened. I just don't bother myself in drama. I am am not defensive at all. I do not mind chatting with you or anyone eles about this. All I am trying to get you to understand is that yes, I do support SSCS but I also support SJD. I have never said any different. I have nothing against any group that is in Taiji fighting for the dolphins. I dont want this to be about one group over the other, I have know desire for that kind of drama. Team work!

@ericnchasity The drama is because one group is causing division in the movement with its statements. Anti-team. I respect that you asked what you did. That Suzanne made no apologies for her statement is sad. Some gave it a thumbs up, which is even more sad. Isn't it about the cause?

That the statement was made in the first place is unbelievable, same with the SSCS statements. I just hope that others will not follow their example. You have a platform. I hope you continue to use it well.

So sad that not one of these celebrities is helping the dolphins now. JUST ONE OF THEM showing up at "The Cove" would be huge. We need big celebrities to show up at "The Cove" so the dolphins can get their story on Japanese TV. Big celebrities in Taiji would be very newsworthy!!!!! Celebrities...How hard would it be to fly to Taiji Japan and stay for a few days?

Please one of you show up! I know you can find the time and definately have the resources.

@ericnchasity Maybe that would work (celebs and Japanese following them to Taiji) but I don't see it. Hope I'm wrong. Separately, I go back to wondering if this is what Ric wants. Maybe he's all for it. If he is, wouldn't he call them to let them know what is happening? If they were moved to do something, wouldn't they do it based on that? Paul Watson couldn't even get kind of B list celebs Rodriguez or Hannah to follow through on their words. Good night.

And while seeing the celebs, they too would see what was happening in the cove! It would spread awareness to the people of japan......pretty simple! I added SJD sometime ago. AT THE SAME TIME I added my own blog and SSCS. I am still working on the details and the tags. Im a noob at youtube and im trying to figure it all out!

@ericnchasity I saw you just added SJD in your description. I believe Cove Guardian is a description SSCS has reserved for itself and are raising money under that name. Ric used Cove Monitor on his site to refer to Leilani. I don't believe she used CG in her awareness campaign. Best of luck to you.

@kellysmarine And even if they coudn't make it to Taiji....They couldnt make plans to do media OR something to raise awareness about the cause? That is sad! If someone goes on the record to support a cause...they need to support it. And again...if Ric has a problem with it, all he has to do is get ahold of me. But I have a hard time believeing he would have a problem with me expressing my problem. Just hey, maybe Im wrong.

@StalkerPie Sorry, but what a foolish thing to say. Because I am criticizing, you have determined that I am not doing anything? Doing something is not enough. Doing it right is what matters.

And you ought to follow your own advice as here you are criticizing celebs who are doing something and doing what they do best but you have determined it is not enough. This is activism for them. And I'm sure many other animals, sick or starving would be grateful for a PSA from them.

There are Cove Guardians from both SSCS and SJD and they are all doing (and have done) a great job. You are right the PSA was to benefit OPS/SJD'S effort to helping the dolphins. I get that celebs work and they can be busy people. But, in saying they would suppot this cause, they should know that the killings happen between Sept. to March. cont

Why aren't you targeting Japanese celebs? The Cove won the highest honor it could. People are aware. Hollywood is. Getting the American public on your side just ups donations to SSCS and does nothing to sway opinion in Japan. Wasn't that the hope with Hayden, who is even popular there? How did that work out? I could go on. I wish you the best of luck but I think this is shortsighted. I hope you prove me wrong and I sincerely hope Ric and Louie have no problem with this.

Going on, who are you all to say that the relationships are useless when they aren't even yours? Isn't that for Ric to judge? Do you know that's his position? This is not just in response to you but what does it matter what Suzanne West says? First, this PSA was to benefit OPS/SJD's efforts toward helping dolphins, not SSCS. Second, MrHolise, I saw your CNN report "calling" people "out" and all your tweets. You attack. Most would say thank you & would realize that celebs have work & there are many causes they may support and would be grateful for them haven "taken action" as chastity apparently claims they have not. Then they would ask for help. cont
