I guess he's untouchable in the regard that he doesn't have a vested interest in any company. He is merely an independent investor with zero accountability. Nuts and bolts of an unregulated economy: Let investors get rich and let the lowly employees who invest in your company take the biggest hit. Same as Enron, guys.
The first part of my comment is wrong. There are a few liability issues at play. I won't pretend to know anymore, but he admitted on the Daily Show that he could get called on some comments by the SEC, but the SEC doesn't .
I would be curious to see what he said between 13 and 20 : it seems suggesting that the buying on the 13 was pure opportunity for the "next days" (quote). So, I would like to see the show from monday to friday20. He might suggest selling on 19, for example... Regarding his background, a FI Derivative trader has nothing to do with stocks! This is why he could understand very soon in 2007 we were on a verge of "Armageddon" as Derivatives is his world. I would not trust him for stocks...
