SU-27 Missile Evasion 1 - Barrel Roll

This is a video of a training track in Lock On Modern Air Combat: Flaming Cliffs. It shows how to evade an enemy missile fired near maximum range by performing a barrel roll, forcing the missile to expend all of its energy tracking your aircraft.

Is this some "easy missile" mod?

In my Lock on missiles do not behave this "stupid", they fly straight for most of flight, at 10km turn on seeker and the warhead follows current location of my aircraft, it doesnt calculate future position, like the one in video. It starts extreme maneuvers about 4km away from a target, calculating impact point.

nice vid. but you know where the missile is close enouph to do this roll?

@mickellemastra No the missile has to be reasonably far away in order for this to work. If its close in the maneauver wont work. The point of it is that it bleeds the energy from the missile early on.

russian missile behave similarly, except that they do not follow aircraft at all. They fly straight way like a rocket for most of time and start 10G maneuvers about 3-5km from target, sometimes the make about 75°turns toward me.
