One Life To Live epi on 9-30-08 Part 1 of 5

Part 1 Summary: Gigi and Bo pace outside of the OR, waiting for news about Rex. Gigi's so busy worrying that she doesn't notice sullen Shane sneak off. Bo offers to go look for Shane while Gigi keeps vigil in the hospital.

Bo finds Shane visiting totally-out-of-touch-with-reality Brody. Turns out Brody keeps seeing the little Iraqi boy he killed instead of Shane. When Shane says, "Hey, Dad, it's me, your son," Brody yells that Shane's not his son. Shane gets totally upset and lets Bo take him back to Gigi waiting at the hospital.

At the hospital, Shane's still giving his mom some major attitude, but Gigi tells him that Brody is not his father.

Cole arrives at La Boulaie to tell Langston, Starr, and Markko that Clint is behind Ray showing up to take Langston away. The foursome try to go visit Dorian in jail, but it's after visiting hours.

Addie arranged for mobster Jackie McNaughton to visit Dorian. Dorian talks to him about possibly getting rid of Ray -- permanently.

At Llanfair, Tess reads a bedtime story to Bree, which leads into badmouthing Natalie. Jared overhears Tess and tells her to stop talking ill of Natalie. No matter what Natalie has done, he will not stand to hear anyone talk trash about her. Tess pretends to be sorry and tries to convince Jared to watch TV with her, but there's nothing on TV but news of Rex getting shot. Tess uses this opportunity to spin Natalie's absence into proof that Natalie only cares about herself; otherwise, why would she stay away from her "brother"?

In the secret room, Natalie watches Tess play Jared and starts to hyperventilate with worry over Rex. When Tess comes to gloat, Natalie begs her to let her out to be with Rex -- he might die! Tess certainly hopes so.
