  • @pookieslim i have 4, i would really like to sell them.

  • @antiquities33, in 4:10 you see an owl and a letters 'O' with a dot, it means a 'fire' (this is symbol of it), next is 'A' and 'E'. Whole is translated as 'AFIRE", [A fire E]. While 'Afire' means "BEANO"/ pleasure/ joy/ (sex).

  • @pookieslim. DO NOT sell them. Don't you even dare and don't go to anyone with them, cause you will be ROBBED at night.

  • i have 3 of those coins in my attick i wonder what they are worth i thought they was just some old useless coins

  • About Persians being the second to initiate coinage, they weren't. That would have been the Greeks. Further, the Persians for many years used coins only in the far west of their empire, largely for trading with the Greeks. Persians called neighboring tribes "barbarians," and the ancient Greeks called the Persians "barbarians." Ancient Greece was a more advanced society. Whereas Greek city-states were initiating democracy, the world's first, Persia was a tyranny run by a despot.

  • I have that kind of owl coin

  • NICE! Im going to get one of them latter! :o

  • Depends on the condition and state of preservation it is in. Good ones go for USD 1000 and more.

  • Hey can anyone please tell me how much exactly the ancient owl coin with athena on the back is worth? How much would that go for today if one where to sell it? Thank You!

  • It is interesting to know that Persian were about the second civilization which used and replaced coins with bartering system after Lydians (being the 1st). Unfortunately Persian civilization was wiped and destroyed many times by barbarians and now the west just ignores so many facts about them.
