I just bought one and when my phone rings, if THE PRINTER IS ON, I can't hear the person who called me. If I turn it on and the someone calls I can hear them again, What am I doing wrong, or what can I do to correct this problem?

um... yea we have had this printer for less than 4 months (brand new) and it's already busted. All of a sudden it turns on, but nothing happens. You can tell it is on because when you unplug/plug it in, a black square moves about five spaces from the left to the right and then just sits there. It won't respond to ANYTHING except unplugging and replugging in its power cord. Is anybody able to provide some helpful suggestion?
