and i do not think obama is any different. same asshole, just reversed the tactics. the reps from 4 years ago sound just like the dems do today and vice versa. instead of all the consp theories and people pissed because theyre losing civil liberties you have people talking about how he's a muslim, or hes not a citizen or some other bs. dems are big brother, reps are too. govt is. and that comes from both sides of the same coin.

@madcatz777 please give me an example of this political connectedness you speak of. personally, i dont really find a lot of pc terms that bother me. and i have read the book. and repubs and the kings of re-writing history, or just ignoring it, and propaganda. i mean seriously, who had the whole pop so scared they were willing to give up every right to privacy available? when did all these cameras start showing up? the bush era brought us the full onslaught of "big brother"

@vapido Read 1984. The whole Ingsoc nomenclature is based around naming things for their opposites. The Ministry of Peace was in charge of war. The Ministry of Truth was tasked with disseminating propaganda and re-writing history. Newspeak was intended to remove words and simplify the language. The idea was, if you control language, you control thought. Which is exactly the intention of "political correctness", as well as abstention from using the words "war", "terrorists". And It works.

removing terms would be the opposite of new speak? ummmm, arent "terrorism-ist" and "enemy combatant" new speak words to begin with? you forgot wmd's, insurgents, the whole they hate freedom bs, all the america bs flag crap everywhere....

im no obama supporter, or ANY govt supporter, but bush lays claim as the new speak king.
