  • i remember my friend kept repeating "hot jazz" in class. now i know why lol

  • haha! yes... It was a big thing in rehearsal, because with 50 16 year olds saying "hot jazz" it seems to turn into "Hot Chest"...

  • The combo sounds awesome! And I love how all the choreo has energy and purpose in it. Great job--I loved it! :)

What was the ballad? You can kinda here the intro to it at the end of this song. It sort of sounds like, "No Matter What Happens" by Barbra Streisand, but I'm probably wrong. Could you post it by any chance?

  • thanks for the combo comment! i was the trombone player for the band. part of the reason we sounded like we did was that the prominent players in the band were music majors at Butler. as for the ballad, it was a combo of "There's a Place for Us" from Westside Story and "This is the Moment" from Jekyll and Hyde. what you heard was the intro for "There's a Place for Us."

  • Oh, and it's "Somewhere" not "there's a place for us"

  • Yes unfortunately though we had decent enough players to make it work (having known them in concert band) We had no real horn director in the combo... so it was sounding pretty sad until the guys from butler came over. The Ballad is also posted here in my videos.
