@TheWaynelds I was kind of wondering that myself. Which one was Blender and which one was Maya?
-
Well, to tell which is which, the better examples are Blender. Of course, all these examples could have been much better...
-
@thinsulite yeah, too bad the uploader is an idiot who doesnt know how to label the examples.
-
Ok how are we supposed to know which example is from Maya or Blender since you failed to label them. That's a sutpid move on your part buddy, but I guess not everybody has common sense.
-
@9grisby If you YouTube Sintel the creators did a fantastic job for animation made on Blender its still fantastic.
-
Example 2 looks best, I think. Apart from the water one I think example 1 looked best. But I have no idea which is which?!?!?!?!?!
-
which is which??? lol.

@TheRollingCubes SHiftA >curve>path, isn't enough. I still have no idea how to bend this object. If I was using maya, it would already be DONE. BLender fails.
-
@leebojammin I'm sorry, would you care to explaining adding curves in Maya?
-
@TheRollingCubes The only thing obvious is your ability to not give accurate directions to begin with and procede to take attitude about your ineptness. That is SO like a blender user. Way to show why people don't use your pathetic little application, and instead spend thousands on something REAL and professional ( and not tude based)
Seiriously, the only thing that makes blender quite laguhable by professional criteria is simply the fact that it is bound under the GPL, making it free, making companies quick to critisize that it isn't 9,000$ and upwards, just because it is free. It makes companies skeptical of the quality. Blender hobbyist videos tend to be crappy because so many people use it because it's free, and don't do it right, check out Big Buck Bunny, Elephants Dream, and some of the artwork in the blender gallery :)

Try the new stable version of blender 2.57b
Maya and 3ds max users will be pleased to know some features that will help to improve their workflow.
Blender is close to be a pro
Maya should run smooth in a Mac, but it isn't so blender is a very good choice to Mac users too...
Dreamerboy don't be a kid, if you are so proud of your career don't waste your time talking about software, real art comes from your heart not from your software
