@ukhistorian Well, yeah, I don't doubt that Gaston would have, but even then, the beast knocked the guy off the balcony by accident, and he would have fallen off himself if Belle hadn't pulled him over. Hell, if Belle had even decided not to show up when she did, the Beast would have just allowed himself to get pounded to death.
