She obvs didn't love Reef or whatever his name was! And yet he forgives her and lives supposedly happy ever after! Wtf, i'm sorry but if that happened to me then I'd never speak to either Danny or the girl ever again! So their so called love story was more like a nightmare from my eyes!

This movie doesn't make me cry, it makes me angry and frustrated. For a start, world war 2 was so much more horrific than what it is portrayed like in this! And any war for that matter! Also, i'm not being evil but I actually smiled when Danny got killed. I mean ffs he finds out that his best friend in the whole world has died, and a few months later he fucks his girl and gets her knocked up, and when he comes back, he doesn't even show guilt!! And the woman is just a whore!

This has to rate as one of the most sickly sentimental and trashy depictions of War that I have ever seen. A comic book movie for a comic book generation. Worse acting I have ever seen.

@Stolemyusename Because it's awesome. Because it's sooo awesome. I love movies. Really sad and beautiful. Just... It's really good like you can feel the "electricity" in the air during the battles (Especially the two shooting down 7 jap planes) and you will remember it forever.
