Andre Fluellen is shown at his family home just north of Georgia on day two of the 2008 NFL Draft, April 27, 2008. While he hoped to be selected on day one of the Draft, it was not to be. Fluellen's selection in round #3 with the 87th overall pick makes him arguably the best value in the entire Draft. Fluellen, the outstanding 5th year senior from Florida State University, played his entire senior season with the after effects of an elbow injury. All NFL pundits and scouts feel that he would have been a sure fire First Rounder had he been uninjured. The toughness he displayed during his entire senior campaign put General Manager's throughout the NFL on notice that Fluellen was the truest of potential impact players.
Fluellen's mother, Dr. Judith Hardy-Fluellen, M.D., CFP, shown doing the cartwheels she promised she would do when the Draft call came in, his brother, recent Florida A&M University MBA, Charles Fluellen, Jr., his father, Charles Fluellen, Sr., his maternal uncle, Leland Hardy, and his aunt Rosetta Garries, M.D., are shown sharing this once-in-a-lifetime moment with the future pro-bowler.
