A week after the Wycheproof 125th celebrations for the railway; R761 headed back to Melbourne with T356 and 9VOAF (coal wagon).
T356 piloted a tender first running R761 from Wycheproof to Bendigo, traversing the Inglewood to Eaglehawk railway, which is beleived to be nearing closure. R761 was turned at Bendigo, and led the train to Melbourne.
Keen observers will notice that the ugly headboard which usually adorns the front of the loco, is missing...

  • Excellent ..how did you get to the different places ,or were multiple vid operators used.?

Why were the engines traveling light anyway?

    Jp

  • Only one camera used for this video. The engine movement had a max speed of about 50km/h on the branchline, and 100km/h once it hit the mainline at Bendigo.

The movement was to transfer both locos back to Melbourne after taking part in the Wycheproof Railway 125th anniversary. The train had returned to Melbourne the week before.

  • C'Mon! my video skills weren't THAT great.. Stop giving me a enlarged cranium... Thanks anywho.

Oh and the rest of the footage was mighty fine, Taradale? Viaduct turned out very very nice.

  • Don't write yourself off so much.

Besides; I like seeing people squirm!

  • was this your work lachie? good job anyway!!!

  • Certainly is my work. Filmed with no tripod for once.

Rodney O'Halloran filmed the bit out the car window at Wedderburn Junction - did a damn fine job of it too, I might add!
