Why were the engines traveling light anyway?

Only one camera used for this video. The engine movement had a max speed of about 50km/h on the branchline, and 100km/h once it hit the mainline at Bendigo.
The movement was to transfer both locos back to Melbourne after taking part in the Wycheproof Railway 125th anniversary. The train had returned to Melbourne the week before.

Oh and the rest of the footage was mighty fine, Taradale? Viaduct turned out very very nice.

Certainly is my work. Filmed with no tripod for once.
Rodney O'Halloran filmed the bit out the car window at Wedderburn Junction - did a damn fine job of it too, I might add!
