2010 Update: Just to say, I think this isn't that great, so don't judge Noisy Hill bythis video, but instead go to one of my more recent Noisy Hill attempts.

@Re1Mu2R3 to me SM wasn't very good, the psychological part of it was good but it wasn't silent hill to me, no combat and only 1 type of monster that changes slightly. to my silent hill 3 and 1 are the best but i suppose everyone's opinions are different :)

I personally dislike 4 because of Henry. He's a rock who never shows emotion.

My favorite is Shattered Memories followed by 1, 2, 3, Origins, and 4. Haven't played 5 yet.
They each have good things about them:
SM = Psychological horror story which I like
3 = Smoother battle system
Origins = Best battle system of all SH games imho. Only flaw is the breakable items and the fact that you're able to carry a hundred weapons which is ridiculous.
2 = Story
1 = More of the nostalgia factor since it's the first one I played
4 = ???

Thumbs up if you think "promise" should have been used instead of the softer version.
