G8800GTS Is a gaming card.
You need a Quadro FX or a FireGL to view 3D properly. The only reason to invest in those cards though, is if you work in 3D graphics.

yeah, I use nVidia G8800GTS 512. So you obiously can't avoid the lag by buying more expensive card.

you can,t avoid lag if you buy a more expensive videocard but you can avoid lag if you buy a more expensive RAM

Well, I'v got 4GB of Kingston HyperX 1066Mhz DDR2 in DualChannel mode. That means (1066Mhz(frequency)x128bit(busbandwidth)):8(bits to bytes)=17GB/s I also got 1600MHz frontsidebus and 6MB L2 memory on my 3,6GHz Dualcore intel processor. So I think I'v got memory bandwidth covered quite well.
