Hi, I'm Kristin Volk on this Tuesday, the 11 day of March 2008 with today's news headline.
New York governor Eliot Spitzer is reportedly considering whether to resign. This comes one day after law enforcement officials said Spitzer was a client of a high-end prostitution ring. That ring was broken up by federal authorities last week. The governor was reportedly caught on a federal wiretap discussing payments and arranging to meet a prostitute in a Washington hotel room last month. He appeared briefly yesterday with his wife to apologize, but didn't specifically address involvement with the ring.
Space Shuttle Endeavor is now in orbit after making a rare nighttime launch early this morning. The shuttle's seven-member crew will partake in a 16-day journey to build an enormous robot and add a new compartment at the international space station for a future lab. It's the longest space station mission ever.
Mississippi is taking center stage today in the battle for the Democratic presidential nomination. The highly Republican state is holding its Democratic primary. Thirty-three delegates are at stake. The latest state opinion polls show Obama has a double-digit lead over his rival Senator Hillary Clinton.
Meanwhile, Obama is rejecting suggestions that he would be a vice presidential running mate for Senator Hillary Clinton. The New York Senator and her husband have recently brought up the idea of the combined ticket. Obama said yesterday while campaigning in Mississippi that he's running for president, not vice president.

No, the Spitzer girls will probably now get more of the Grandfather's estate, after he probably disinherits his son, Gov. Idiot.

New York. It's easy to win as Governer yet it's impossible to govern, just ask Cumo and Pataki they tried and failed.
