For those of you calling them nerds just please remember the next time you fly on an airplane somewhere, they're the reason you don't crash and burn into another airplane or into the ground. They will make more money than you ever will and have one of the funnest, coolest jobs out there. Have fun with your burger flipping jobs assholes.

See how it says they're ATC college students? They're gonna be controlling the skies pretty soon, so let's be glad they take the initiative to practice. I'm a pilot, and I know my job would be hard as heck without these guys day to day.

ATC is an awesome job! Without ATC, you got huge caos at the air! Think twice again before you call them nerds when you travel on a plane. You reached your destination because pilot AND ATC, did an awesome job to get you safe to your destination. Think again.

lol really who takes offence to being called a nerd about something, thats a good thing! It means you do or you appear to know what your doing very well! I'm called a airplane nerd as im a student pilot by my friends, i know i dont know alot but from there point of view i do, i kinda like it.. taking offence to that kinda thing is pretty childish

I think its funny people took this whole thing seriously, this was just a night in the dorms with ATC majors goofing around playing a very outmoded simple ATC simulation. I who made it happen to be in it, albeit Im a pilot in Alaska now and not ATC, who I fully appreciate cause they saved my ass once, in a near collision. Anyhow, for whats it worth, yeah they'll probably make double what I will then again, I wont need a double bipass and a substance abuse counselor.
