Switch ran from 1975 thru 1978. It was supposed to be a light-hearted show based on "The Sting". But it never really gelled for me. I enjoyed Robert Wagner far more as Alexander Mundy in "It Takes A Thief." In fact, had they perhaps linked the two shows together I would have found it far more exciting. Instead, it turned into a regular private-eye show later on and was deservedly cancelled for wasting such talent. Magnum it was not!

  • what the f ck is taking so long for switch to get released on DVD

  • @morgan8757 I suspect that it has something to do with Robert Wagner. I do not know if it is because of him or in spite of him.

"HART TO HART" was by far more popular worldwide and yet the DVD's have stopped being produced for that series. So it might possibly be a lack of faith in his ability to attract buyers.

The other curious thing is that it appears he has not worked at Universal since 1978. So it is entirely possible some acrimony is involved on one or both sides.

  • My God! It's been a long time since I've seen the intro to "Switch"...Thanks for bringing these original titles to the show back to us.

  • wagner is so hot!!!

  • RIP Charlie Callas 1927-2011

  • Nice to see that open again, even if the first two or three seconds of it (involving a close-up of a coin flip) are missing. Thanks for posting.

I liked the show best when it was all about the cons. There was this funny antagonism between Albert's and Wagner's characters, which you can tell from the open. I believe it was CBS that insisted the producers turn it into a straight crime show, and that's exactly what they got. Boooorrrring.

  • @LovingKimiKatkar Yeah, otherwise Eva Gabor would kick your butt!

  • @MrMatteNWk Scratch the commercial part, it was a Letterman Skit, "Biff Henderson's Cavalcade of Practical Jokes."

  • What's the name of the theme music? I think I heard this music in a commercial not too long ago.

  • Jaclyn Smith with RJ 0:29
