Jamming in de parks of Sweet Lake City, the band 'La Balançoire' came into existance a year ago, in those days known as Sweet Lake City Ramblers. Cheerful Swing music that creates a pleasant atmosphere everywhere and is inspired by Django Reinhardt and his Hot Club de France.

The Gypsy Jazz string quartet ( 3 guitars and a Double Bass ) is made complete with a great female vocalist and from time to time with a clarinet player, an altsax player and a tenor sax player. With seemingly little effort they play lots of beautiful improvisations. The reportoire are partially the famous standards, like All of me, Georgia on my mind, Chicago, It don't mean a thing, Nature boy and many other classics. But they also play some of their own compositions, on which they have been working hard lately. In the pub, on stage, on your party, La Balançoire will please people everywhere they can with cheerful Hot Club music, lovely jazz, sensual bossa novas, passionate bebop and compelling gipsy folk songs. Summarized : Cosiness, beautiful music and great skills!
