Regarding the birds; I produced this album for the company that released it (Metacom) and it, and all the CDs in this series of recordings, was all about music AND the sounds of nature. I argued with them that too much SFX could be detrimental, but they wanted it their way. You'll note, however, that the SFX do come down a bit for most of the piece. Yussi is a killer guitarist, and a great buy, btw.

Just enjoy it. It's the premise of the tune. Love the trees and if birds live in the trees then we gonna have a hard time shutting them up. I tried once and they didn't listen!
