  • Would it be easier to jack the motor up and swap it out rather than setting the car on jack stands and removing the wheel?

  • @LS6Z28 I think that would make the bottom bolt harder to get to.

  • besides that when i took off the chain cover there was like 2 small magnetic pieces stuck on it, i thought it was teeth from a sproket but those aren't magnetic i think..Scotty kilmer(i believe thats how u spell his name) said: that might mean theres serious damage to the engine...which i really hope is not. Also how would i remove the cam bolt ? its about a 24 mm since bolt, and how with ought messing up the timing and with ought taking off valve covers or oil pan? Thanks for any advice

  • @CODxFUNxMAN I use the crank bolt but a impact wrench so i am not afraid of the bolt getting to tight.Taking out the starter and holding it from the flywheel might be a alternative.

  • Thank you for the video. My husband was shocked to come home from work and find that I replaced the idler pulley myself!!!!

    Thank you again, Susan

  • @suzyqnaz007 wow that is so cool

  • Do i have to jack up engine with jack underneath, to take that top engine mount off to get to idler pulley? Can't i just take engine mount off with out that? Or does it make gettting to bolt on idler pulley easier?

  • U should make a vid how to take the whole bracket off because my belt keeps riding off my alternator pulley an I'm just going to replace the whole thing b/c the spring is getting loose

  • hey, Im doing the timing chain job on my 91 LeSabre i know this might not be the right place but im just researching everywhere. Let me start off by saying thumbs up man this looks more complex then my engine spacing i have so much space that i can change the chain with ought pulling the engine. So after i removed the cover and other stuff out of the way, now i have the timing chain and the cam n crank sprokets there after i unbolted the small tensioner there was alot of slack, ...(1of2)
