YouTube videos automatically convert the spoken words in your video into text. In this video I show how you can access this text by downloading a special file associated with your "captions" which is usually named something like "captions.sbv" don't worry about the "*.sbv" extension, it's basically a text file with the text identified by a "time index" in the file so that the software knows where to position your captions in the video. You can open the file with a text editor, however sometimes the formatting isn't the easiest and I demonstrate how you can open this file with a browser window (Google chrome) unfortunately the text isn't editable in this window, so you copy it out into a text file and edit it there. Mine usually needs a bit of editing probably due to my accent! Save the text file with the "*.sbv" file extension and then add it back into the Google video, with a bit of luck you shall have some nice captions for your youTube video!
