Would like to hear from some of you Newfi owners out there about their diet. I've got a black male and a landseer male and have been feeding them (along with their dry chow) chicken and rice. Alot of rice. Usually you can get a deal on some kindof chicken most of the time whole chickens 5-7 bucks along with 7 cups rice will feed them 3 or so days. Have had no skin problems, no hip or knee problems and we walk around 12 to 15 miles a week. Any other diet suggestions?

OK, I'm going to get all sappy and maudlin, but here goes. I always felt that if God were a dog, he'd be a Newfoundland. Parker's face at 2:05 and especially at 2:13 reinforces that. It's as if this beautiful majestic animal is saying, " Come to me & I'll be your friend & you can rest in my warmth & my softness, and I will never betray you, and I'll always love you, until the end of time. And if anyone should try to harm to you, I'll put your life ahead of mine, and you'll always be safe."
