That's a nice deterrent, but it won't prevent the door from being easily lifted or pryed out of the track like this lock does. A thief wants to work quietly. No chance of doing that trying to cut glass after encountering a security lock like this one. Truly easy project with great benefits. Just don't lock it and misplace the keys. :)Also, this is an "away from home" lock. Don't lock it when at home. In smoke/fire, for instance, fumbling trying to undo this lock could cost lives.
