Dr. Amy Ellingson-Itzin, an Essentia Health obstetrician/gynecologist, says most women should start getting Pap tests by age 21. While women need to get the cervical cancer screening test each year or two up to age 30, older women can usually have the test every three years. Women also need to monitor their bone density. Registered Nurse Nancy Archambault explains how the Dexa Scan can check the bone health of women, especially those ages 65 and older that face a greater risk of osteoporosis.
